Big win New Zealand 15th/16th/17th November (Christ Church NZ)

3 Australians and 4 New Zealanders fronted up to The New Zealand Strongman Challenge. We had to perform 9 events over 3 Days. Although I was sick with a virus and chest infection I was on the boil and managed to win 7 events and placed 2nd and 3rd in the other 2. A decisive win heralding me as the Trans-Tasman Strongman Champion!

Pulling Together

I love Albury Wodonga because of it's strong community support. During a recent plane pull I was helped out by no other than the mayor herself Patricia Gould. She was great and she didn't mind getting her hands dirty with some hard work. She is considered a treasured member and leader of the Albury Community.

Incredibly Friendly Hulk

Having some fun with the kids. I was asked by The Albury City Council to turn into the Incredibly friendly Hulk at Mc Picnic in the Park with Fairy Princess Teagon Collins. Great fun was had by all and this event proved to be a great success.

April 12, Briggadoon/Bundanoon (Southern Highlands N.S.W)

Bundanoon hosts an amazing Scottish traditional gathering with all sorts of traditional fair and events. The running of the manhood stones are the highlight of the entire event. The best 6 stone lifters in the country are invited and showed their wares in front of a roaring 25 thousand strong group. The challenge to life 5 stones onto the barrels, the biggest being 165kg in quickest time. I showed my metal to win deceively in a record time of 20.5 seconds. I am now the undisputed king of the stones in Australia as I have not been beaten by any Australian.

(The current record is held by Kevin Fast of Ontario Canada with a truck weighing 24.6 Ton)

I thank the Albury Council and and Albury Airport management for their invaluable support for offering me this window of opportunity to challenge the Guinness Truck Pulling Record.

A special thank you to Laundess Transport Truck Co for providing their trucks to train and prepare with.

23, 24, 25 January Chinese Strongman Exhibition

I flew from Australia to Hong Kong where I was greeted by three Vikings, Svend Karlson, Magnus Samualson and Jani Virtininan. All three have won World Strongest Man Comp.

We were ferried to the Chinese mainland and proceeded to demonstrate our Strongman wares in front of curious crowds. The reception was great and the service was 5 star. The Chinese although short by stature are very polite and very hospitable.

Events demonstrated were Bus Pulling, Tug O War, Tyre Flipping, Conan's Wheel, Stone Pig Lifting, Boat Pulling and some new ones - Catching Ping Pong Balls with Chop Sticks and my favorite Eel Catching.

This all made for good fun and served as a great advertising platform for a major Strongman International Comp later this year in October, back in China.
